Why we chose PureFinest
It's not the loudest brand on the shelf. It might be the most honest.
When we set out to choose our 2026 featured partner, we had a stack of submissions to work through. Some came with glossy decks. Some came as a single email from a founder who'd been thinking about it for months. PureFinest came in the second category.
The four questions
Every brand we partner with has to clear the same four questions. The ones we set out on our approach page. Here's how PureFinest answered each one.
Are the ingredients genuinely natural and traceable?
Yes. Their electrolytes are seawater-derived. Their fruit content is real fruit, not flavouring. Their vitamins come from whole-food sources where possible. They could tell us, on a per-ingredient basis, where things came from. That's rarer than you'd think.
Does the product do what it claims?
We tried both drinks for two weeks before saying yes to anything. Vitality earned its place as our afternoon pick. The Sports drink replaced the synthetic stuff one of us had been using for years. No miracle claims. Just solid, dependable, drinkable products that do their job.
Is the brand run by people who care?
The PureFinest team are obsessive in the right way. They argue about formulations. They've turned down growth opportunities that would have meant compromising on ingredients. They care about the craft more than the margin, and you can taste it.
Would we use it ourselves?
We are. That's the simplest answer.
What this partnership looks like
Through 2026, PureFinest will be our featured partner. That means a dedicated space on our home page, a partnership landing page that goes deeper than any of our other content, regular Journal pieces about their products and ingredients, and as much story-telling as we can fit into the year.
We won't pretend it's an arms-length editorial relationship. They're our partner, and we're proud to champion them. But we wouldn't be doing it if we didn't believe in what's in the bottle.
